It was a tough night. We have snack day at the office on Fridays and inevitably the supplier for that day grabs a box of Timbits or some other gluten based garbage. It's my day today so I'm determined to make the engineers (who subsist on Hickory Sticks and Pringles) miserable and brought fresh fruit. To keep the others happy I made a yogurt dip with honey, fresh mint and vanilla. It was the hardest thing to not lick the spoon. I have no idea what it tastes like!
Had a root canal after work today, which is why my dinner consisted of a smoothie, eggs whites and cantelope...not ideal but can't chew anything else!!
Last day is Tuesday - so everyone stick with it this weekend!
Friday: M1: 2 eggs, black coffee M2: tuna and salmon sashimi (as I witched my lunch companion scarf down agadashi tofu and prawn tempura) with wheat free tamari sauce Snack: fresh strawberries, pineapple and grapes M3: can of tuna on a big pile of lettuce and veggies with lemon juice and evoo
Question for Tanya or Robyn or anyone who has an opinon on the topic: I've been reading a lot about habitual fasting, lots of people are saying (particularly in the mornings if you have no time/ don't have anything planned for breakfast), just fast. Does our body benefit from this at all? Personally I'd rather eat... that's just me.
Matt and I decided to do 4 weeks (28 days) instead of 30 days...mainly because we are in Palm Springs right now and really wanted a Corona :) But we managed to eat clean all day while travelling, which wasn't easy...
Our plan is to continue eating paleo, but allow ourselves a drink at Happy Hour!!
Lauren - Robb Wolf has said it's a 50/50 split with people who benefit from it and those who don't. Assuming you're referring to IF (intermittent fasting). That said, unless you're pretty lean to begin with IF can cause stress and an over production of cortisol and can be counterproductive.
Day 30 Yeah! I am going to keep eating this way with weekly cheat days. I stopped blogging what I ate because I got tired of it but have done the whole 30 days!
And now for the rest of my life. I love eating this way. Amanda
And it's over... with no pomp and circumstance the Whole30 comes to a close. I think we'll be planning a paleo potluck at the gym when the team comes back from Cali. So look forward to that everyone.
I'm so thrilled with the give 'er attitude everyone had!
I'm definitely stickin with it. Don't miss cheese rice or any of the crap i used to love. the only thing I'm bringin back is alcohol. God i miss you alcohol. Thank you to all who answered questions definitely made this alot easier than anything i've ever tried before. i constantly have people asking me about this diet now. 4 have already started it, its catchin on
Funny thing is despite cravings, I haven't eaten anything neolitic yet. I even had cottage cheese in the refrigerator in preparation for this morning, but went to the eggs right away.
There will be wine - but I don't think the food will change much, other than an occasional cheat.
Way to go guys! I've still got another week because I started a week later than everyone else but I'm definitely going to do my best to sustain this diet with a few exceptions :)
I'm definitely in for Sept 1st! My boyfriend is still on the wagon with me and eventhough he's had a couple slips (beer league baseball) he's done awesome and says he feels great.
Good luck at the games to everyone who's going!! Can't wait for the cookout afterwards.

LAST DAY!!!
Congrats people on our last day!!!
it was definitely a challenge - and obviously, if there were placements i finished well near the bottom.
that being said, i think im actually glad i did it. i think i might celebrate by starting the 974 burpees that i owe.
seriously - i hate myself a little bit more than usual today. i hate cursive writing and i hate all of you!
;)
Day 30!!!
Congrats to everyone...you all did such a great job!!!
How is everyone feeling???
I did my measurements and I have lost 3" overall in 1 month. Not bad huh? Probably a combination of the eating & the crossfit.
Overall I feel great, I plan on continuing to eat paleo most of the time, with the occasional treat thrown in (like the maragarita I just drank :)
It's kind of sad that we won't be posting anymore...haha.
Day 30
Yeah! I am going to keep eating this way with weekly cheat days. I stopped blogging what I ate because I got tired of it but have done the whole 30 days!
And now for the rest of my life. I love eating this way.

And it's over... with no pomp and circumstance the Whole30 comes to a close. I think we'll be planning a paleo potluck at the gym when the team comes back from Cali. So look forward to that everyone.
