Half way today!
I resisted temptations easily last night, I brought some biltong with me and grabbed a handful of fruits there. Wasn't even too tempted by the one bite brownies. Didn't seem worth it last night.
Hope everyone is feeling great, or turning the corner right now to more energy.

Starting to feel guilty with the amount of bacon I'm eating, but it's too yummy for me to care!

1 grapefruit
2 eggs over easy and 3 strips of bacon

Annie, I wish I had a lazy morning!! When the alarm rang at 6:15, I felt like death but as soon as I was up & around, I definitely had some pep in my step! I really need to get to bed earlier...midnight is just way too late!

Hello week 3!
Feeling good, need to buy new curtains for our bedroom, as it's pretty light and I think it's keeping me awake!!
Taking a rest day today, no time to make it to the gym because of work etc.
B: 2 poached eggs, 2 chicken sausages, fruit salad (pineapple, blackberries, raspberries), coffee
S: dried apple, carrots, cucumber
I didn't have a great weekend. I had a big energy crash after the workout on Saturday and never really recovered. I didn't sleep well either but that was mostly stress related I think. I was so out of it yesterday evening that I left my laptop on the ground by the door of the grocery store and I nearly forgot it entirely. I am sooooo lucky. That would have been a disaster.
I just weighed myself and I think I'm down 1 and maybe 2 lbs which goes against my goals. I guess I need to eat more. Eating enough has always been a struggle for me.
I think that we'll have a meatloaf for dinner with butternut squash and veggies. Guess I'd better top up with something else. Maybe a sweet potato.
Happy monday everyone :) sorry ive been MIA from the blog, weekend was pretty busy. so this is the start of week 2 for B, and i have to admit i have had some little cheats. no bigs ones! all my meals have been paleo, i just need to plan my days better because i don't pack enough food with me so then i get stuck! ive had some milk in my coffee, peanut butter (sorry annie) oatmeal, ONE glass of wine oh and i guess maple syrup in the bars i made. am i a terrible person!?! other than that my diet had been clean! made turkey sherpards pie with mashed cauliflower as potatoes. im going to keep trying new recipes when i can, its fun :)
overall i feel good, but haven't had a very big appetite. congrats to everyone on being half way! keep it up!! Annie and Jenny- awesome job on the blog and thanks for everyones comments which i find so entertaining and encouraging!

lunch:turkey sausage, yams, grapes, dried mango
Lunch:
Lamb burger left over with lettuce, tomatoes and avocadoe and dijon.
W 1/2 asian pear, 1 clementine.
Snack:
Some sweet potatoes, some cooked salami and a few walnuts.
An Americano in between.
Lunch: leftover pork, mashed yams, apples, broccoli
Snack: turkey, watermelon
Killer headache all afternoon....so annoying!!
L: salmon and leftover sauteed veggies, shared some banana loaf with Annie
S: dried fruit, 1/2 banana
may skip the Lions Rowathon tonight..shoulder is not happy at all. :(
Monday morning, taking a semi rest day today, went to a hatha yoga class this afternoon which felt great.
Lunch was a burger with guac & bacon wrapped in lettuce.
Just finished prepping my chili verde from the everydaypaleo website and it's simmering on my stove as we speak. I'll have that with some avocado and maybe a grapefruit for dessert. I seem to be craving grapefruit like crazy lately.
Hopefully there will be enough left over that I can take some to work with me tomorrow.
To all you brave people that went to class today/tonight... I solute you! Mel texted me this morning and said she rowed 10k!! So awesome.

D: tuna melt (the recipe I posted for Knight)...it was yummy, although it would've been better if there was something cheesy melted on top! Side of sauteed kale
Dessert: kiwi, grapefruit (Lauren--the grapefruits are soo good right now, eh??)

dinner: some tuna and celery, steamed broccoli and carrots- so bland- i had to work so didn't have time to prepare anything.

im exhausted tonight, can't wait for bed.
Another nice dinner tonight. Roasted chicken with parsnip and turnip.
Roasted brussels sprouts w almond in evoo and balsamic.
May bake the banana loaf again tonight as a treat.
Feel a little guilty I dodge the rowing today. :(
Made the date cashew lara bar again. Upped the cashews and it tastes far less "datey" which is a good thing.
Still in need of a breakfast substitute for eggs...
Other than that, really enjoying it so far. I hear you Geoff, I'm a little scared to get on the scale as my arms and legs don't look any bigger yet...

any tips on non-stick sprays? some are canola oil. i made the muffins again but this time i lightly oiled the pan with some olive oil--didn't really make a difference! soo hard to get the muffins out of the tin in one piece!! Pam seems to have an Olive Oil one from what I can tell--just wanted your thoughts. Or else next time, I'm lining the muffin tins with paper!! I may have snacked on some muffin scraps trying to get the buggers out!!!
Misch - we use the olive oil spray "spectrum naturals" brand, in a green bottle...
Had a girls night with a bunch of girlfriends tonight....managed to resist all of the mexican food and only drink water!
Dinner: salad with prawns, guac, salsa, peppers
Snack: watermelon, turkey pepperoni, almonds, carrots (I was so hungry when I got home from the girls night)
BAD headache all afternoon & evening. I know it's not the food I am eating, think my neck is still really jacked up from Saturday's running WOD.

D: raincoast salad from cactus without the pecans and feta and asked for balsamic dressing instead of their dressing:)
s: rasberries, a paleo muffin that i made from chelans recipe :) texture is a little strange but it was yummy. i put blueberries in :)
